After only having ridden the NSF at Estoril this would be my first time riding a different bike there.
Thursday went well dipping into the low 1:52s but overall Thursday was only for making a good setup with the bike and just learning the track.
Friday FP1 I finished P9 with a 1:51:490 and in FP2 I finished P5 with a 1:50:487. Both my best finishes to date in a session in the R7 cup.
Unfortunately, my qualifying didn’t go to plan, I tried to follow some riders and ended spending more time looking for a tow than getting a good lap time putting me P16 once again with a 1:51750.
Luckily this time round it was dry, so I know all I had to do was make as much progress as possible.
Race 1: I got a great start making up some positions in the first corners, I was fighting for P9 however a false neutral set me back 2 seconds to 9th place. That didn’t stop me, however. By the last few laps, I caught them up and secured 9th on the last lap.
Race 2: Not the best start to the race. I lost a place or two in the opening laps however I fought my way back up to P11.i was fighting with a rider until the last lap where I managed to overtake him. Furthermore, two riders crashed resulting in a fortuitous P9 once again.
